01.What they are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. There are similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). In this policy I call all of them “cookies”.
02.Which cookies I use
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
or-consent | Necessary · local storage | OnlyRodas | Stores your cookie choice so I don’t ask again. | 12 months |
or-seen | Necessary · session storage | OnlyRodas | Remembers you already saw the loading animation in this tab, to shorten it. | Until you close the tab |
or-lang | Necessary · local storage | OnlyRodas | Remembers the language you chose. If you open the home page with your browser in Spanish, I take you to the Spanish version; if you choose English, I keep it. | Until you clear it |
_ga | Analytics | Google (Google Analytics) | Tells visitors apart with a random ID. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Analytics | Google (Google Analytics) | Keeps the state of your visit. | 2 years |
I don’t use advertising or social media cookies. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.
I also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It isn’t in the table because it doesn’t use cookies or store anything in your browser.
03.Why I ask for consent
Necessary cookies don’t need your consent, because without them the site wouldn’t work the way you ask it to. Analytics cookies do: they don’t load until you accept them, as required by the GDPR, Spanish law (Art. 22.2 LSSI), Quebec’s Law 25 and the data protection laws of the other countries this site is aimed at.
04.How to accept, reject or change your mind
On your first visit, a notice at the bottom lets you accept analytics or open its settings. In “Settings”, analytics appears turned on and you can turn it off or reject all. If you visit from the European Union, the UK or Switzerland, analytics appears turned off and the notice also shows “Reject” at the same level as “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time here on this page (the “Cookies” link is at the bottom of every page), with this button:
05.If you withdraw consent
I delete this site’s Google Analytics cookies and stop loading it. Cloudflare Web Analytics also stops loading from the next page on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout ↗.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stay off unless you accept them yourself.
06.Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a service of Google LLC. I set it up without Google signals or ad personalization, and Google Analytics 4 doesn’t store your IP address. Data may be processed in the United States; Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More in Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy ↗) and in how Google uses data from sites that use its services (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites ↗).
07.Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is a service of Cloudflare, Inc., the company that hosts this site. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage, and it doesn’t identify you by your IP address or your browser. If you visit from the European Union, the UK or Switzerland, it only loads if you accept analytics. From any other country, it loads unless you reject analytics or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. More at www.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/ ↗ and in Cloudflare’s privacy policy (www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ ↗).
08.Changes
If I add or remove cookies, I’ll update this table and, if needed, ask you again. For everything else about your data, read the Privacy policy or write to [email protected].
