Chile at CES 2027
Chile at CES 2027: a national strategy, not a booth

brief.json
Site for the call that takes Chilean startups to Chile’s pavilion at CES 2027 in Las Vegas. I framed the project as a national strategy rather than a booth. I took it from concept and Figma design to a live site in three languages in under a week. For the build, I directed Claude.

01The brief
A call with a deadline
Chile is taking its national pavilion to CES 2027 in Las Vegas. It’s opening a call for startups and science-based tech companies (EBCT) to apply for 10 spots in Eureka Park. The site had to present the pavilion and explain what each startup gets. It also had to get people to apply before each deadline. All in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

02Strategy
A national strategy, not a booth
I wrote the concept that organizes the site. Chile isn’t there to fill a booth: it’s there to show where innovation is created, tested and scaled. That drives the “Create, scale, amaze” opening. It also shapes the scale of CES in audited 2026 figures and the eight sectors where Chile leads. They run from mining and astronomy to artificial intelligence.

03Build
Dates that keep themselves current
I designed the interface in Figma and used Claude to build it as a static site on Cloudflare. The GSAP and SplitText motion respects reduced-motion settings. I set one rule: anything that depends on the date is computed, never typed. The countdown, the days left before each deadline and the status of each stage update themselves. Each language shows them in its own format.

04Result
Live in under a week
The site went live in under a week, in three languages. The call was open and every date was current. Since it’s a public call, I locked it down by default. It has a strict content security policy and enforced HTTPS. No other site can embed it. The only scripts that run are its own and Cloudflare’s analytics.
