E-invoicing without the technical jargon

brief.json
A SaaS that simplifies El Salvador’s mandatory e-invoicing. I designed the platform to absorb the technical complexity: JSON, digital signatures and tax-authority integrations. That way any business can comply without having to understand it.

01Challenge
A mandate full of jargon
A government mandate in El Salvador forced businesses into electronic invoicing. That meant JSON formats, digital signatures and API integrations with the tax authority (DGII). No business owner should have to learn that jargon just to comply.

02Core principle
Invoicing like checking out
My principle was simplicity: invoicing should feel closer to an online checkout than to a government form. Reusable client and product databases save people from typing the same data over and over. Every button, label and flow is designed for people who aren’t accountants or tech experts.

03Beyond compliance
From obligation to tool
Compliance was the baseline. I designed a dashboard with sales and inventory metrics and charts so invoicing also helps with decisions. I turned an obligation into a business tool. That’s the platform’s main differentiator.
